Mahadevi is a religious drama to be aired from Monday to Friday. It is an upcoming Telugu serial which has already set its successful path in Kannada. It is expected to cross a maximum number of episodes capturing the aesthetic corners of the people. The story revolves around a girl Sundari who is believed to be the re-birth of the queen Mayuri.The queen was a staunch believer of goddess Mahadevi whereas Sundari is an atheist.

In the opening episodes, Sundari is found to quarrel with her mother for having the Shree Chakra in their prayer room. Sekari is the father of Sundari who cannot withstand the scams happening in the temple. It is revealed that Sundari’s comes from a simple middle-class family working for the temple. Sundari seems to believe that goddess inside the temple is a just stone which gives no justice to its devotees nor shows any mercy. Sundari doesn’t change her attitude even after the pressures by her father. Virupaksha develops hatred towards Sundari for her attitude. Meanwhile, goddess Mahadevi incarnates as a women and stays protective towards Sundari’s family. Virupaksha’s son Sachidananda shows interest in Sundari for which her mother refuses.

The Shree Chakra goes missing, and Virupaksha tries to find it. He reveals the story of Shankaracharya and the Shree Chakra and seeks astrologers help to attain the Shree Chakra. A series of events happen to send Sundari’s family out of the village, but goddess Mahadevi stops them from being kicked out. Mahadevi reveals herself as Shreemathi and stays with them for their rescue. Later on, Jaishekari goes in search of the Chakra Charita and gets shocked on seeing Sundari’s picture in it. He finds about the previous birth of Sundari as the queen Mayuri. She was failed to be saved by the goddess when attackers came for the Shree Chakra. She vows to be born as the enemy of the goddess. Sundari is found to be short lived as per her astrology.

Goddess Kaalikadevi appears and insists her to protect the Shree Chakra. Virupaksha tries to woo some black magicians to control Sundari. Sachidananda plans to marry Sundari forcefully, and she seeks help from Shreemathi under the condition that she will fulfil her desires. Sachidananda comes to know about Sundari’s previous birth through the Chakra Charita book.The story makes the audience stand on toes with unpredictable plots. Will Sundari transform from her atheist attitude and will she survive breaking her astrology predictions forms the crux.
