The story revolves around Mrs Megha Vyas, a mother of two children, whose husband, Amar Vyas, dies in a flyover collapse. Amar Vyas is blamed for the incident, stating that he gave in, to corruption and used low-quality construction material which resulted in tragedy. Amidst this, Megha gets acquainted with Mohan Biratnagar, an honest journalist, who works for ‘Prabhat Leher’, Hindi news daily. Initially, many misunderstandings take place between Megha and Mohan. Some of the reasons beings, Mohan helps a little girl, Navika, to print a matrimonial ad for her mother, not knowing that she is Megha’s daughter. Megha gets hired at the same company where Mohan works.

Things worsen between them when Mohan collects information against Amar, Megha’s late husband, and his honesty forces him to publish the evidence. Later, Mohan realises that the evidence is fabricated by a wealthy industrialist, who is the real person behind the collapse and frames, Amar, to escape from being sent to prison. He apologises for his mistake and helps Megha clear her late husband’s name. During this process, Mohan falls in love with Megha but doesn’t approach her.

When Mohan’s ex-girlfriend, Rashmi, insults Mohan, that he will never find a wife like her and will remain unsuccessful in life, Megha takes a stand for Mohan and pretends that she is Mohan’s wife, to make Rashmi jealous. One day, Mohan confesses his feelings, but Megha rejects him, thinking that it would affect their friendship and because Mohan’s mother doesn’t like her and her children. Mohan later leaves on an assignment on drug mafia and Megha realises that she is in love with him.

Mohan gets shot during the assignment. Does Mohan survive? Will Mohan and Megha get married? The story implies that everyone deserves a second chance and that one should fight for the things they believe.
