The Big Debate is a show which talks about the problems of South Africa. It is the dubbed version which is been aired on ETV channel. It is particularly called as a town hall debate. The first episode of the show was aired in February 2009 and is still continuing to be one of the favorite shows watched by the audience. The original show which airs in South Africa is been produced by Broad Daylight Films Foundation. It is a non- profit organization which is based in Johannesburg. The show was first presented by Dan Moyane on the ETV channel. The show comes at 10 AM on Sunday every week on the channel. Till now only four seasons of the show have been aired and the fifth season is under production. The show stands to give voice and power to the normal and common citizens to speak about their thoughts and views.

With politics as its genre the every episode of the show is of around 48 min. spectators keep their eyes and ears wide open to know about the problem and the solution to it.
