Taste of India is a Telugu cookery show that has become very popular among local households. The chef, who is mostly a very popular face among foodies, takes the viewers through the whole process of cooking a dish, its inspiration, its history along with the ingredients used in preparing the dish. Cookery show is a very popular genre on television because it’s comparatively easy to produce and can garner a huge audience in just thirty minutes. This flexibility and ease of production have made these shows a cultural phenomenon, which has led to many of the chefs on these shows to become celebrities.
Taste of India is hosted by the renowned face of Telugu television, Monica. Monica spent her entire childhood in northern states since her father was in central services. When she moved to Hyderabad, she picked up on Telugu. She always dreamed about being on television and soon, her dreams came true as she started hosting many shows. But she found her success with the show ‘Taste of India’. The show was an incredible success because of Monica’s talent.
