It is one of the attraction for millions of tourists who visit the country. No other country has as much wildlife as India. Other than a few indigenous animals, all animals can be seen in various parts of the country. India is home to the largest amount of tigers in the world.

The BBC crew aims to capture this wildlife and showcase it to the world. It has three episodes which are called chapters. Each episode is dedicated to a particular animal and hence, the name of the episode starts with the name of the animal. The first episode is called Elephant Kingdom. This chapter is shot at the foothills of the Himalayas. This region is home to variously animals such as Asian elephants, wild buffaloes and rhinoceros.

The episode looks at the world through the eyes of a newborn Elephant. They record its movement, and how it manages to stay away from danger. This is a land of beauty which had been untouched by the human civilization. The second episode is called Tiger Jungle. It is about surviving. India is a country with the second highest population in the world. But away from all the noise and the worries of cities, there is a jungle in which all creatures are own their own.

All of them have to survive and take care of their young ones. Desert Lions is the name of the last chapter of the show. The North-West part of the country is one the most dangerous places where only the best can survive.

It focuses on the big cats of the open area, and how they adapt themselves to be the king of the place. It also shows how animals like deer and buffaloes, the ones who are going to be eaten, adapt to their environment and battle the cats. Over here, everyday is a battle for survival.
