Hindi Web Series Lovely Da Dhaba

Lovely Da Dhaba is a Hindi Drama series that aired on Gemplex TV. The series premiered on the 30th of September 2019 and was directed by Kenny Chhabra. Lovely is a martyr’s wife who runs a dhaba on the outskirts of a National Highway in Punjab. Her dhaba is known for its fantastic food and the wise words of the owner. The food turns into magic when Lovely touches it, and all problems of the customers are solved. The first episode brings a couple to the dhaba who have eloped in fear of their police officer fathers. They know they will most definitely not accept them as a couple and the girl fears that her father might even kill her lover. Lovely asks them to eat, and she calls their fathers and explains the significance of love.

The family goes back happily. The second one shows us a father, who looks very distressed, coming into the dhaba. A few questions later, we find out that he is worried about his son, who is fighting with him for the family business. Lovely and the people working in the dhaba talk to them and calm them down. The son realizes how he has hurt his father’s feelings and agrees to have an amicable discussion with him. The third episode takes up the story of a disoriented man who is planning to take revenge on the man who killed his father. The one he suspects, though, isn’t the culprit. His paternal uncle, who works with Lovely, was involved in a big misunderstanding that made his nephew think that he killed his brother.

Both he and his brother were heavily addicted to gambling and while Lovely saved him from it, she could not save his brother. The man discovers that the real killer was his maternal uncle, who had been helping him catch his father’s killer all this time. Lovely and everyone planned an elaborate plan to catch the real culprit. Episode 4 shows us a restless man who looks very sick sitting at one of the tables at the dhaba. Another man, a soldier, walks in, and Lovely quickly arranges a meal for both customers. While talking to the soldier, Lovely notices a strange man making a deal with the restless man. Suspecting foul play, she asks the soldier to follow the strange man and goes to talk to the agitated man herself. They find out about the drug deal and talk some sense into them. A group of Hockey fanatics comes into Lovely Da Dhaba to watch the India Vs. Pakistan hockey match and eat, the dhaba crew finds out about their strange superstition about having to eat constantly till the game ends for India to win. Lovely is surprised to see it and talk to them about it. The last episode, “Lassi,” shows us a group of youngsters to the dhaba for some drinks.
