It became really popular within the Kannada speaking audience. The series featured Chandru and Geetha in the role of husband and wife, in the midst of various situational comedy acts. It was during this phase that they became close friends which eventually developed into a love for one another. They tied the knot on 9th November 1990 and hadn't looked back since.
