Date with Saie is a thriller suspense series directed by Dyanesh Zoting and features actors Saie Tamhankar and Rohit Kokate Rohit Kokate is known for several films such as Ni >> Read More... in the lead roles. Saie Tamhankar plays herself, portrayed as a popular Marathi actress in the film industry. She's a popular celebrity who is supposedly the victim of a nasty game. Rohit Kotake plays the role of a man named Himanshu. The story follows Saie being introduced to Himanshu who happens to be a non-resident Indian banker. They meet each other in a peaceful Janmashtami event. However, peace is temporary when a violent mob tries to accost Saie at the event. Himanshu helps her get out of the situation and that's how they get to know each other.

It is later revealed in the show that Himanshu is actually a man named Raghunath who is an aspiring filmmaker. Raghunath is inspired by the art of film-making and the concept of human psychology. He becomes obsessed with the idea of creating something similar to 'The Truman Show' featuring a relationship between him and Saie except for the fact that he wants nothing but the reality and plans accordingly. He begins stalking her, recording her actions without her permission, and keeps doing it all the while getting close to her as Himanshu.

He goes on dates, develops his relationship with Saie, and also appoints a sidekick to record each and every interaction between him and Saie as a real-life movie. As the show progresses Raghunath's intentions become more sinister as his obsession grows out of hand and he makes elaborate plans to test Saie both physically and emotionally. She becomes paranoid because of the development and soon reality morphs into a living nightmare for her. How she deals with Raghunath and the whole situation and how far Raghunath goes to make the film is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
