To go to a place like Everest and work in minus five degrees temperature, one has to be physically fit. As a director, he needs to portray the story in a proper manner in limited time and work efficiently with the team by creating a proper atmosphere to work for veteran actors as well as new comers.
He has done a lot of films, theatre and television and so was searching to do something different and new. Directing Everest does not come in his domain. He believes that even Hollywood would not have tried such a challenging project. If dancing in Nach Baliye was challenging, directing Everest is more challenging for him.
His relationship with Ashutosh Gowarikar is good having worked together earlier. Ankush feels that working with him is totally enriching because he gets to learn a lot....
