Appanum Aathalum is a Tamil television serial that falls under the genre of melodramatic soap operas. The story is set in a village in Tamil Nadu. The story follows a set of parents who give their undivided attention to their kid who is small. They play with him, teach him, feed him and listen to his every demand and try their best in making him happy. But as the son grows up he treats his parents differently and not in a respectable way. This makes them disappointed and their heart sinks deep. This forms the basic plot of the show. The show has been directed by the legendary Bharathiraja who is known for his trendsetting movies and Appanum Aathalum is also a trendsetter in the TV industry.
