The 24-year-old talented regional movie actress Nakshatra was born in 1990. She is the biotech engineer from Es Engineering College. The beautiful actress is a daughter of Kannada film veteran director late D. Rajendra Babu and immensely talented actress Sumithra. She belongs from a background where all her family members have nexus with film industry with some or the other way. Her elder sister is Umashankari, talented actress of regional films. Nakshatra was watching her father and mother she drew inspiration to become an actress from her childhood. She adds previously her father and mother were not in consent with her in joining film industry as they were worried about their most loving child. Soon she convinced them. Nakshatra also known as Deepthi in Malayalam movies is a discovery of Sunil Kumar Desai, who saw her in a function. The 17years old girl captured the director’s vision. He then approached Nakshatra’s mother and said he desires to cast Nakshatra for his next venture called ‘Saregama’ which eventually went to the shelf.

Her big projects include ‘Ye Maaya Chesave (a Gautham Menon film)’, ‘Bhadra’, ‘Oye, ‘Baadshah’, ‘Bommarillu’ all the movies are blockbusters.

Surekha Vani anchored shows like ‘Maa Talkies’ and ‘Heart beat’ along with her husband on MAA TV.  She also appeared in a show ‘Moguds Pellams’ which was directed by her husband. All the above shows are related to couples.

She is a post-graduate with PMC from Sri SaiSatyanarayana College Bangalore. Currently, she lives in Bangalore. S. Saravanan is a cinematographer-turned-director who made his directorial debut with Silambattam that released in 2008. The film was the 25th film for "Lakshmi Movie Makers” which was launched in AVM Studios.
