Barson Baad is a Pakistani serial that premiered in 2006 on PTV Home. It is an Urdu-language serial that focuses on the lives of people from Pakistan who have moved to Scotland. The story begins by the introduction of a vast house and its owner Rahim Daad. The story moves forward while expressing Rahim Daad’s loneliness because his children are away from him in another world. Barson Baad focuses on two brothers and their family living in Scotland. Rafique is the younger brother with his wife, Zahida, and two children, Shanaya (Hina) and Faisal. Ahmed is the older brother who married an English woman named Nargis, and lives with his three children, Sahiyda, Asam and Qamar (the youngest). It’s Eid day when the two families reunite and discuss what's going on in their home country.
