Its story revolves around the family of Nawab Sahab. He had two wives, Naik Parwar and Naik Bakht, who lived in separate houses adjacent to each other as neighbors. Naik Bakht lives in Nawab House, and Naik Parwar lives in Nawab Villa. Naik Parwar is the first wife, and Nawab Sahab married Naik Bakht only two months after his first marriage. It resulted in constant conflict and hatred between the two women after the death of their husband. The first wife has two sons, Kamil and Kifayat. Kamil, the elder son, is dead, leaving behind his wife, Kishwar, and sons, Hadi and Waleed. Kifayat runs a poultry farm, is married to Kaneez, and has two daughters, Meenu and Mirchi. 

Naik Bakht has one daughter and one son. Her daughter is residing in Toronto with her family. Her son, Ibrahim, and his wife during Hajj (Muslim pilgrimage), leaving behind three daughters, Gul, Roomi, and Mishi, and a son, Faaz. Gul and Faaz are twins. Gul and her husband, Miskeen, live with Gul’s family and are childless even after five years of marriage. Roomi is married to Arman. The unmarried Mishi likes Hadi. All the women are searching for a suitable match for Faaz, who wants to marry an educated and mature girl. 

Faaz tutors Meenu, the clumsy and carefree girl of the house, as requested by her father. They often bicker because Meenu wants to get rid of her tutor and studies permanently. On the other hand, the family of the unemployed Hadi is also looking for a suitable bride for him. Mishi starts expressing her romantic feelings towards Hadi, who hesitates to reciprocate due to his friendship with Faaz and clashes between Amma and Baibey. 

Meanwhile, a family selects Faaz for their daughter, Hania, who has all the qualities he always wanted in his would-be wife. Her family also wanted to marry off her brother, Asher. So, Gul and Amma decide to marry Mishi with him. However, due to some misunderstanding, the family chooses Meenu as their would-be daughter-in-law. Hence, after some discussions, it is decided to hold the marriage of Faaz and Meenu on the same day while Mishi got betrothed to a cousin of Hania. It makes Hadi realize his love for Mishi, but very late.

Soon, the truth about Asher came out during the wedding. He was already married with three daughters. He only wanted a second wife to bear him a son. Hence, the family cancels his marriage with their daughter after this revelation. On the other hand, Hania faced two broken engagements before, and the wedding of Faazi also got canceled. This dramatic turn of events also resulted in breaking the engagement of Mishi. To save the reputation of the Nawab family, Faaz and Meenu were married and gradually started developing feelings for each other.

After this enters the most feared and respected family member, Bade Abba, the elder brother of Nawab Sahab. He was disappointed in Amma and Baibey, whose clashes may create problems for the newly married couple. Hence, he abruptly sends Meenu to Nawab House, much to the annoyance of Gul. Roomi and Gul plan to create a rift between Faaz and Meenu. Later, Meenu also learns about the love affair of Hadi and Mishi. But, Bade Abba decides to marry his granddaughter, Natasha, to Hadi, and everybody goes to know about the relationship between Hadi and Mishi. Faaz got angry with Hadi and his wife, who returned to Nawab Villa. A new alliance comes for Mishi, and Faaz goes to take his wife back. Meenu refuses to return, and Faaz raises a hand to slap her but stops midway. However, Mirchi tells everyone that Faaz hit Meenu, resulting in a fight between Hadi and Faaz. Enraged, Hadi confesses his love for Mishi in front of her suitor, and later, Meenu clears the misunderstanding.

Frustrated by everything, Mishi leaves the house. Faaz had two days to find her, or he would be married to Natasha. He fails to accomplish the goal. Meenu sends divorce papers to Faaz, who never stood up against Gul to save their marriage. Faaz, wanting to save his marriage, confronts Gul, making her realize her mistakes. Gul apologizes to Meenu and is later found pregnant. One day, Hadi speaks with Mishi on the phone, who refuses to return as he should have taken a stand much before. Bizarrely, Amma and Baibey have become good friends by now.

The wedding of Hadi takes place, and the bride turns out to be Mishi. It was planned by the whole family, except for the new couple. Meenu forgives Faaz after seeing his involvement in the wedding plan, and the two reconcile. Hadi thanks Faaz and reveals that the divorce papers were fake, forged by him to test Faaz. The series ends on a happy note, showcasing all the couples with one child each, living happily together.
