The show portrays family relations and making sacrifices for them in different narratives. Mahnuma is a lower-middle-class girl who teaches in school to support her bedridden mother, and the Choudhary family is a notorious group, facing issues in their family relations. Mahima's inability to say no to anything, and always thinking of others, gets her engaged to her cousin Raheel.
