Daneen, a free-spirited young woman living with her father, Zahid, and grandfather, Arshad, is at the center of the plot. Areesh is her second cousin, a rich and handsome young man. Sadia Begum, Areesh's grandmother, opposes their love. Daneen's paternal aunt, Nazia, rejected Sadia Begum's older son, Waleed, causing him to commit suicide. As a result, the families developed a feud, influencing Sadia Begum's opposition to Areesh and Daneen's union. Izza is Daneen's first cousin, but she hides her true identity as the series progresses.
