Money has the potential to do many more things that crush our humanity. While some prey on it and end up as victims, only some survive through it and become successful in their journey. This series shows how one such victim turns out to be a strong person in the end. Mairah is a young girl who has many dreams for life. She lives with her brother's family, who views her as a burden. She has a liking for Shahmeer. He reciprocates the feeling. But Mairah's family gets her married to a man twice her age in exchange for money. Any girl would have become devastated. But Mairah is different. She faces everything with a smile and manages to live there. Her in-laws create trouble in her life. But when her stepdaughter marries Shahmeer, he can't help but feel shattered. She finds it hard to treat him as her son-in-law.

Her love is now in a different relationship with her. Initially, she has trouble seeing them live together as couples. But she overcomes that eventually. Shahmeer is quizzical about his life in general. He couldn't start with his wife and with his true love in the same house. Suddenly, Mairah's husband gets stuck in an accident and loses his life. She leaves the house after that and moves in with her brother's family. They realise their blunder and request her forgiveness. She has no grudge towards them and forgives them. She is now focused on finishing her education and studies well. Shahmeer takes the decision to divorce his wife and proposes to Mairah for marriage. But she denies that and asks him to start a life with his wife. He agrees with her reluctantly. The story emphasises the personality of Mairah, who motivates us to be kind despite the hardships she went through.
