Phaans is a Pakistani emotional drama TV serial that aired on HUM TV. The story highlights a serious issue of sexual assault of women. The plot begins with Shakeela working as a house help for Nadia’s family. Nadia’s daughter is planning to marry Samad. During the wedding preparations, things get pretty hectic, so Shakeela decides to live at Nadia’s place and brings along her two daughters, Farah and Zeba. Later Zeba goes to meet her fiancé under a construction building, and there she is sexually assaulted by someone. With some leftover strength in her, she returns to her place and enters with Samad. Judging by her look, people mistakenly assume Samad to be the culprit. When she goes for the check-up at the hospital, the doctor changes her reports and declares her a patient with a mental disorder.

She becomes disappointed and returns home. She becomes upset and tells everyone that Sahil, Nadia’s autistic son, had sexually assaulted her, but no one believes her. Samad feels sorry for her and decides to help her to get justice. Later, Zeba learns that she is pregnant. When Shakeela finds out about her pregnancy, she gives her pills and aborts her baby. After this, Zeba decides to take the help of social media and records a video telling everyone that Sahil had assaulted her. Seeing this, Sahil is admitted to a hospital. Nadia calls Zeba and tells her that she has come to know the truth. She calls her home on this pretense and then later accuses her of putting a false allegation on Sahil for money in front of the reporters. How will Zeba fight with society and her enemies in her tries to seek justice?
