Music Co Ordinator
A music coordinator is given the responsibility of supervising, choosing and selecting soundtracks for the projects they are working on. They generally work with the main music directors.
The music co ordinator needs to have impeccable music taste as to match the music director's. He or she needa to support the vision of the music director so as to create the desired music and songs for the album. The music co ordinator may even be an instrumental player who works with the music director and thus create music with the directions of the director. He or she needs to be creatively involved in the scripting stage to understand what music the director and the music director is going for. Bringing samples of music, doing research for similar music, creating trial and error compositions are all a part of the job of a music co ordinator as he or she is there to help the music director create their music.
