Biplab Banerjee is an incredible personality from the Indian Film industry. He is a well-known Bengali actor, director, and playwright of theatre, television, and film, from Kolkata, India. He got widely recognized for Swapnajaal (2018), Bekele Bhorer Phool (2017), and Chupkatha (2012).

Biplab was born on 28 November 1968 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, to a well-fitted Indian Family. His parents are Rabindra Nath Bandyopadhyay and Maitrayee Banerjee. He was raised only in the country of India by his parents. Also, he and his family are devoted followers of the Religion Hindu and follow each tradition with full hearts. Speaking about his educational qualifications, he completed his schooling at one of the nearby renowned schools in his town and further went to a university for his higher studies. In 2006, Biplab commenced his journey as a theatre director and directed his first play named “ Neel Mati Laal Kankor (Blue Soil Red Gravel) “ which revolves around the life and work of painter and sculpture Ramkinkar Baij. This play was a blockbuster and got invited on the 50th anniversary of Lalit Kala Academy, Kolkata. He has directed and acted in numerous plays and has attained much popularity through that. His vastly acknowledged plays include Bela Obelar Golpo, Andho Yoger Manush, Tista Parer Britanto, Samay Asamayer Britanto, Putul Nacher Itikotha, Neel Mati Laal Kankor, Andhare Akla, Tipur Swapna, and Nasika Puran. His plays had been provided him with the reputation he has today. All his plays portrayed his exceptional talent of directing and made all audiences love them.

He has established his name across the nation due to his consistent efforts towards his work. Apart from directing and acting plays, he has written a few plays, like Dokhol, Khandahar, and Sujan Horbola. His talent doesn’t restrict to only acts, as he has equally contributed towards films, for say, Comrade, Manu Dutta, Dhulo Bali Katha, and many others. Furthermore, he has been the recipient of numerous awards including, the Best Actor Award" for "Poka" from Natya Academy, Govt. of West Bengal in 2001, and the "Best Director Award" for "Supari Killer" from ZEE Bangla Gaurav Samman in 2012.
