Raj Chakraborty

Raj Chakroborty is an Indian film director who has worked in several Bollywood movies and series. Raj’s actual name is Raju Chakraborty. He was born on 22 February 1975 in Halisahar, West Bengal, India. He did his schooling from Rishi Bankim Chandra Colleges, Naihati. Raj married Shatabdi Mitra in 2006 and later got married with Subhashree Ganguly in 2018. Raj has worked in the film industry as a director, producer, and actor. He made his debut in the year 2008. In 2008 he directed the movie Chirodini Tumi Je Amar. Some of the movies which are directed by Raju are Bojhena Shey Bojhena, Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey, Parineeta, and many more. As an actor he has worked in movies like Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, Chaamp, Uma, and many more. He has produced several films like Noor Jahaan and Dharmajuddha.

Raj has been awarded several prestigious awards such as Anandalok Awards, Tele Cine Awards, and BFJA Awards. Raj has also worked in several TV shows. He produced the show Kanamachi, which was streamed on Star Jalsha. Other series and telefilms produced by him are Bedini Molur katha, Felna, Dev I Love You, and many more. He joined Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee. On 2nd May 2021, he won the seat of MLA under the Barrackpore region.
