Charles S. Dutton has been known by people worldwide due to his exceptional talent. He is a famous American actor and director who has been seen working extensively in the Film Industry. He was born on January 30, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, the USA, as Charles Stanley Dutton. He was raised in the Baltimore's Latrobe Home public housing project of the former country only. His early ages were relatively challenging as he struggled a lot at that time due to uncertain circumstances.

Charles completed his schooling at Yale Drama School and later decided to do something for his further educational qualifications. At first, he finished his two-year college program at Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Maryland, and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 1976. After that, he attended Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated from there with a degree in Bachelors of Arts in 1978.

Further, he enrolled in Yale University and earned a degree in Master of Fine Arts(MFA). Finally, he began his career in the Film industry due to his inclination towards acting. He made his debut through August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom in 1984. This film was a blockbuster and helped him in attaining recognition on a large scale.

Charles received the Theatre World Award and a Tony Award nomination in the category of the Best Actor for this movie.
