Goree grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was raised by a single mother. He got graduation from Prince Andrew High School. He has a Diploma in Film and Television acting from the Canadian Film Centre from Arts. In the year 2003, he hosted The Big Black Rap Show on the Canadian campus radio station CKDU- FM. In that same year, he also began working as a freelancing journalist for channel Canada Now. Between the years 2007 and 2009, he was cast as Malik in the popular Global TV series ‘Da Kink in My Hair’. Eli Goree also appeared in Vision TV’s famous series ‘Soul’. On Stage, he played the role of Jake in 2009 in the critically acclaimed play ‘Secrets of a Black Boy’. Between the year of 2010 and 2013, he appeared in a mockumentary of Pure Pwnage as well as guest roles in, The CW’s fantasy horror series ‘Supernatural’, The CW’s medical drama Emily Owens, M.D., and Showcase’s sci-fi miniseries ‘Eve of Destruction’ and CTV’s police crime drama ‘Motive’.

His first significant role in the feature film was in the sports drama film ‘Race’. He was one of the main leads in the Freeform horror drama ‘Dead of Summer’. The series has given a straight to series order. The horror drama, ‘Dead of Summer’ is created by Once Upon a Time’s Adam Horowtiz and Edward Kitsis, along with the writer lan Goldberg. He will be appearing on the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series ‘The Peripheral’.
