Jon Stewart is an American famous Television Host, Comedian, Actor, Director, Writer, and Producer. He is best known for his longest running comedy show 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ aired on Comedy Central. He has even served as director for the 2014 movie “Rosewater”. He has worked with various famous media houses like MSNBC, CNN, and FOX News. He has served as an author for books like America: A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction, which was even titled as then Best-Selling Book of 2004 in U.S. and Earth : A Visitor's Guide to the Human Race which came out in 2010. He has been a part of shows like Short Attention Span Theater, The Jon Stewart Show, You Wrote It, You Watch It. He has received a lot of appreciation and awards for his work. Jon has been honoured with the Primetime Emmy Awards for 22 times.

He was born on 28 November 1962 in the New York City. His parents, Marian and Donald Leibowitz were teachers. His parents got divorced when he was Eleven years old. He went to Lawrence High School. Jon grew up in the ears of the Watergate scandal and the Vietnam War. He is a graduate from the College of William and Mary, and his major subject was Chemistry.

In his initial days, he did numerous works such as a Caterer, a Shelf Stocker, and also as a Bartender at City Gardens. He even worked as Soccer Coach at the Gloucester High School.

 In 1986, he shifted to New York City and got his break in the Comedy Club Circuit. After three years he was seen hosting Short Attention Span Theatre by Comedy Central. He launched his first talk show, “The Jon Stewart Show” on MTV. During 1990s, he made appearances in many Television Series and Programs. His main shows were “Jon Stewart: Unleavened”, “The Larry Sanders Show”. He even worked as a guest host on shows like The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder aired on CBS, Mr. Show with Bob & David, which was aired on HBO.

In 1999, he hosted the show The Daily Show which was later renamed as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and aired on Comedy Central. The show was a huge hit for its dialogues and was highly critically towards the Washington politics, which brought them a lot in the media. The show served as a huge luck for him as he received a lot of appreciation and recognition and even won Primetime Emmy Awards. Apart from the show, he even hosted Grammy’s in 2001 and 2002 and the Academy Awards in 2006 and 2008.

He might be Jewish but ethnicity-wise is completely nonreligious. He dated Tracy Lynn McShane for four years and eventually got married to her. Also, diet-wise, he became a vegetarian, while his wife is a vegan.
