Although Wells grew up near the hillocks of the Himalayas, she was born in London and did most of her schooling there. Later, she came back to India to study classical music. Mostly an independent composer and singer, she joined Nitin Sawhney's band and went on a global music tour where she got the chance to perform in places like the Sydney Opera House.

Composer, songwriter, singer, producer, and so much more, she keeps adding more and more attributes. As the years progress, Turya keeps on learning new things and new cultures and keeps on producing music that enriches the soul.
