Greg Mottola

Greg Mottola is screenwriter and director. Greg received his BFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University and got his MFA degree from Columbia University in Film. He is married to Sarah Allentuch and has three children with her.

Mottola made his debut in film making with the movie The Daytrippers and he did screenwriting for the movie as well. In 2007, another film came with the name of Superbad, which was a super hit. Adventure Land released in 2009 and Greg was the screenwriter of the film; it was a story set in the 1980s, where a group of students was working at an amusement park. This movie earned many praises by critics and was premiered at The Sundance Film Festival in 2009. Mottola’s next film that came on the floor was Paul in 2011; it was a sci-fi comic movie, it is based on two nerds addicted to comic reading who meet an alien on vacation in U.S.

He has done the direction for many TV Series like Undeclared in 2001 and directed Addicts, Sick in the Head, Eric Visits Again, Truth or Dare and The Perfect Date. In 2003, he directed the pilot episode of The Big Wide World of Carl Lemke. Another show that came under his direction was Arrested Development, and he directed the episodes; Charity Drive, Visiting Hours and Storming the Castle. The Newsroom is the latest TV Series under his direction in 2012. Greg was the director of episodes; We Just Decided To, The 112th Congress and The Greater Fool.
