John Maringouin is a film director in the American film industry who was born on September 2nd, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. His first debut film as an actor was Running Stumbled, which released in 2006, which received broad condemnatory praise. In this movie, he portrays the character of an extravagant son who returns to his town. The story depicts the composite relationship between his antagonised father and him. An admonishing tale is developed where the characters of the movie get chased by demons and death.

It got referred to by as a movie possessing a variety of all the feelings. It casts Johnny Roe Jr, Virgie Marie, Stanley Laviolette as the main characters of the film. It received the nomination for a Spirit Award. John’s second feature film was Big River Man released in 2009. He was the director of the movie. John was the director, editor and even the cinematographer of this film. We Are X is the latest documentary film of John which released in 2016. It depicts the Japanese metal band X and its prime leader, drummer, and co-founder, Yoshiki. His father expired when he was very small. The main vocalist Toshi was indoctrinated by a sect that led to the breaking of the group. The guitarist and bassist of the group died after their performance in the band. Reasons were predicted to be mysterious deaths. The film premiered as a part of the Sundance Film Festival, 2016. It also got displayed at the South by Southwest Festival. The film got termed as an outstanding rock documentary. The film won the Special Jury Award for Best Editing.
