Born in Breda,Netherlands.He started playing records at an early age of 8.His passion kept growing and at the age of 14, he started djing at school parties. And from 1985 to 1994 he was a residency at several clubs. He had his high when he started playing at the Spock,small club in Breda with his spot from 10 AM to 4 PM on weekends.

He started with anew beat and acid house. Today we know him as Dj Tiesto ,Dutch DJ and record producer. He got his popularity in 1997,when he collaborated with black hole recordings to produce MAGIK and In search of sunshine. He said Magic consists of different stages of emotions for a journey and Search for the sunshine is chilling music which is perfect to hear when you leaving home for a party or just after you get back home. His record Gouryella along with Ferry Corsten that came in 1999 and got him to the top 15 UK singles chart. Summer breeze was Tiesto's US debut.

He also became the first DJ ever to give a sold-out solo performance at a stadium. He dropped the Dj label, Now simply known as Ties to which is an allias from his childhood nickname. . He said that performing at small club gives an amazing intimate feeling and performing at stadium or festival gave an insane rush.

His first solo album came out in 2001 called In my memory. He was also voted the world’s number 1 DJ for three consecutive years(2002-2004) by Dj magazine. His second debut album was Just Be which gained him a lot of popularity and he also became the very first DJ to play on stage live at 2004,Summer Olympics in Athens. In 2007 he had his own radio show Tiesto's club life on Radio 538.His third album Elements of life got him nominated for a Grammy in 2008. Pop oriented ,Edm approach ,Grammy dominated ,platinum certified producer went on to win his first Grammy for Best Remixed Recording ,-classical John legend’s All of Me ,at 57th annual Grammy Awards. In 2016 he started his deep house label After:hrs to promote deep house music.

Recently he has also been a part of many fund raising events. In 2006 he became the worldwide ambassador for Dance4life foundation promoting awareness of HIV/AIDS. The foundation consists of a better way of living with safe sex in exchange for entertainment for the young crowd.

In 2014 he was also a performer at a free Global Citizen Festival in New York’s central park. Today he goes on to produce some really inspiring and amazing music and is one of the world’s best Dj of all times, he is a god father and inspiration to many of the DJ's of today’s generation and is still a rage at the clubs ,stadiums and music festivals.
