He entered the film industry in 2002 and is active in the industry till now. He has done his schooling in Mark Twain Intermediate School 239 and Midwood High School. Austin completed his graduation from Binghamton University with theatre art as his major. Austin,, during his initial years of acting, worked as a bartender, a bouncer, a busboy, a cater-waiter, and as a substitute teacher. In 2002, he got his first break in the movie Porn 'n Chicken. In the year 2004, he played a significant role in the movie Spellbond in which he played the role of the character Ben Miller.

In the same year, he entered the television industry and was seen as Lou-Lou Versini in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Beauty and the Beast is known to be one of the finest television work of Austin’s career. Besides acting in movies and TV shows he has also done several commercial ads for various brands such as Burger King. In 2010 Austin was in the cast of the web series, Ghostfacers.
