Chris Massoglia

Christopher Paul Massoglia is a television and film actor from the USA. He is known for his appearances in television programs like Law and Order, as well as films like Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. He was born on 29 March, 1992 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent his childhood years there. His father Christopher Massoglia is a chiropractor, while his mother Karen is a homemaker. He was home-schooled by his mother. He was a child prodigy, blessed with high intelligence and was taking university-level online courses just at the age of thirteen. He learned jujitsu, played the piano, received training in hip-hop dancing, understood American Sign Language, and learned horse-riding as well. He was also an exceptional Little League Baseball player. He started acting at the age of 10. He began attending acting workshops at a dancing academy in his home town of Minneapolis while in middle school. He kick started his acting career in 2003 with the stage name “Chris Kelly” in an episode of the TV series Law & Order, but later adopted his family name. He gave auditions for movies like Spider-Man 2 and Bad News Bears but was not cast in these movies. He played in the 2004 Little League World Series Midwestern Regional Championship and couldn’t audition during this period.

He appeared in a few more TV series’, namely Medical Investigation in 2004 and Wanted in 2005. He made his movie debut with A Plumm Summer, but gained attention with his role of Darren Shan in 2009 film Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. The movie was a moderate success, and Chris received mixed reviews for his acting. He later starred in the horror film The Hole. He lives to travel and is a family person. He is closest to his three siblings, two brothers and a sister, as all of them were home-schooled together. He also loves to invest his time in young people through his church and other organizations. He has been to Israel five times in four years to advocate for peace in the Middle East. In 2008, Massoglia was named one of the "10 Actors to Watch" in Variety's Young Talent issue. He is a multi-talented person with a heart of gold.
