Christian Berkel

Christian Berkel is a veteran German actor. He has appeared in many famous German movies. He moved to Paris to take the drama lesson at the age of 14. He took drama lessons from Jean-Louis Barrault and Pierre Berlin. He later went on to train at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. He performed at various venues such as Augsburg, Dusseldorf, Munich, Vienna, and at the Schiller Theatre. He performed with great heart in many plays and enjoyed working in theatre. He went on to start his film career with The Serpent’s Egg in 1977 and has never looked back from there. He went on to appear in many movies and TV serials but was liked by all. His work in film Downfall as Dr. Ernst-Gunther Schenck was appreciated by all. His work pulled many fans and was liked by classic film lovers. He was appreciated in not only Germany but many parts of the world. He also worked in a Dutch Film named Black Book.

He made his debut in TV Serial in Tatort (1978). He has many cameos to his name as he has made a special appearance on various TV shows. He is cheered a lot in Germany, but he also did a film in America. The high budget American film Fightplan, which was a great hit at the box office and also earned him some American followers, he also did another movie later named Valkyrie. He speaks fluent French and American along with German. He lives with his partner Andrea Sawatzki and has two sons with her. He is famously known for his work in Inglorious Basterds (2009), Downfall (2004) and The Experiment (2001). He had a class of fans following him. His work was always intense and earned him great respect in film industry all around the globe.
