David Hyde Pierce is also known as David Pierce is an American comedian and actor. He is noted for playing the character of Dr. Niles Crane on the sitcom Frasier aired on the NBC. He was the son of George Hyde Pierce and Laura Marie. His father wanted to be an actor and Laura worked as an insurance agent. He added Hyde in his name to avoid confusion with an actor of the same name. In his childhood, he worked as an actor and performed as a director in student productions. He was a part of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society's production. He gave direction to Princess Ida by the Gilbert & Sullivan Society production. He did a role in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
