Edward Charles Morice Fox commonly known as Edward Fox, an actor by profession was born on April 13, 1937, in Chelsea, London, England to a theatrical agent Robin Fox and an actress and writer by profession Angela Muriel Darita Worthington. He went for his schooling at Harrow school and besides being an actor, he serves as a lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards, a British Army Regiment. He did education at RADA (The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) and also was an associate member of RADA. In his lifetime, he had two wives, the first being Tracy Reed, who got separated in 1961 after three years of marriage and the second being Joanna David with whom he completed the rest of his life after 2004. In all, he fathered three children, the first who belonged to the first wife and the other two named Emilia Fox and Freddie Fox from Joanna. Fox made his debut in 1958 as an extra in The Lioness of the Long Distance Runner, which was his first appearance on screen, he also appeared on screen as a waiter in This Sporting Life in 1963. He won Bafta Award for his role in The Go-Between (1971) in which he played the role of Lord Hugh Trimingham. He played the role of King Edward VIII in a TV series Edward & Mrs. Simpson (1978).

He has played the role of being a father of his biological daughter Emilia Fox in The Republic of Love (2003). He also worked in Never Say Never Again (1983) a very famous unofficial Bond movie, a remake of Thunderball (1965), where he played the character M. Besides the Bafta Award for The Go-Between, he was awarded the O.B.E (Office of the Order of the British Empire) in 2003. He also bagged the best Supporting Actor Awards at the British Academy Film Awards for his role in A Bridge Too Far (1977). Few of his political moves included the Countryside March for hunting rights in U.K and the fight for the Royal Hall of Harrogate which had been funded by Samson Fox, his great grandfather.
