Eric Christian Olsen

Eric Christian Olsen was born on 31st May, 1977, in the city of Eugene, Oregon, USA.

He works as an actor in America.

His parents were Paul V. Olsen, who was a professor and coach in Rock Island Augustana College, and Jeanne, who was a nondenominational Christian minister. He is the brother of American stuntman, David Paul Olsen.

Eric’s ancestors were from Norway. He was brought up in Iowa Bettendorf. His schooling was done in Bettendorf Middle and High School. While in school, he took part in many extracurricular activities. He was into sports. He was very good at hockey and did theater. He was part of the improvisational comedy group, ComedySportz (CSz). He also learned Chinese and Japanese.

He started out by acting in a TV commercial for Whitey’s Ice Cream Parlor.

He started out on television with a small role on one episode of the series, ‘Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction’ (1997). In the late 90s and early 2000s, he was part of short movies like Black Cat Run, Arthur’s Quest, Lessons Learned, and Ruling Class.

After doing TV, he got his big screen break with the movie Pearl Harbor, in 2001. He was the gunner of Ben Affleck’s character. The movie was a huge success.

He soon got the movie, Not Another Teen Movie, as a lead actor.

In 2003, he played the part of Lloyd Christmas in the film ‘Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd’. It was of the comedy genre. It was a prequel to Dumb and Dumber, which released in 1994, and was a huge success.

Eric is currently seen on CBS’ TV series, NCIS: Los Angeles, in which he is seen as Detective Marty Deeks.

In 2015, the actor appeared on the show, House Hunters, along with Sarah, his wife, and Jeanne, his mother, in which they look for a vacation home.

Christian’s latest release was Band of Robbers, in 2015, in which he played the part of Detective Sid Sawyer. Two novels by the renowned writer Mark Twain- Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer- inspired the movie.

He is currently filming Battle of the Sexes, a sports drama film, in which he is playing the role of Lornie Kuhle.
