Jason Alexander

Actor-cum-comedian, Jay Scott Greenspan, was famously known as Jason Alexander. He was born on September 23, 1959, in Newark, New Jersey, US. His mother, Ruth Minnie, is a nurse, and his father, Alexander B. Greenspan, is an accounting manager. He spent his childhood in Newark, but later moved to Livingston, New Jersey, US. Jaron Alexander moved to New York and worked in some films like Merrily We Roll Along, The Rink, Broadway Bound, etc. In 1989, he bagged the Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in Jerome Robbin's, ‘Broadway’. He was not just an actor, but also a good singer and dancer. In 2015, he appeared in Fish in the Dark.

Coming to his television career, he played the role of George Costanza in the world famous television sitcom, ‘Seinfeld’. This role made him famous on the television sphere. For his performance as George Costanza, he got six Primetime Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations. Unfortunately, he couldn't win any of them, but he won the Screen Actors Guild Award in a comedy series for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor. Jason Alexander starred even in a few blockbuster movies. He played a few roles in Pretty Women, Love! Valour! Compassion! , and Dunston Checks In, among others. His role in the psychological thriller, Jacob's Ladder, is a never forgotten character. He directed and acted in the movie, For Better or Worse. He voiced for the role of Hugo in ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
