Kevin Downes

Kevin Downes is a native of California. He has a versatile personality and has his contribution as a writer, director, producer and an actor in the film industry. Born in the year of 1972 in the Visalia District of California in the United States, he started his career in the movies from 1994. He has done a lot of Christianity Based films that are mostly shot in the locals of Visalia which is just some three hours from Los Angeles on the north side. Kevin is the little brother of Bobby Downes who is also a producer by profession and has founded Christian cinema (dot) com.

Kevin has an experience of over three decades and has done almost two dozen films as an actor and a dozen films as a producer. He also has three projects to showcase his directorial talent too. Kevin has strong roots and belief in the Supreme Power of God, and he has demonstrated his faith by making and working in movies that support his beliefs of love, hope, faith, and redemption through the guidance of the Jesus Christ. His journey as an actor started in 1994 with the movie “The Crossing” where he played the role of Jason. He went on to work in another movie titled “End of the Harvest” as Jess in 1995. In 1998, he played a small part in a movie called “Senseless” which was of Comedy genre and starred Matthew Lillard, David Spade, and Marion Wayans as the leads.

In 1999, he acted in two films named “A vow to cherish” and “The Moment After”, out of which the latter was also his first project as a Producer. In 2000, he produced and acted in “Mercy Streets” and portrayed the role of Peter. Mercy Streets is a story of two brothers one of whom is a con, and the other happens to be a pastor and how a set of events change their lives forever. Mercy Street was appreciated by the critics and received a nomination for the award for Best Family Film. He went on to work in a dozen more films after that.
