Danson (Edward Bridge "Ted" Danson III) as number ‘second’ amongst the top 25 television stars of all time. This is because the actor has an illustrious achievement in his long career that spanned four decades and won many awards in his long and glorious career. He won two Prime Time Emmy Awards after having nominated 15 times, won three Golden Globe Awards after having nominated ten times and got nominated once for Screen Actor Guild Awards and American Comedy Award respectively, Ted Danson became popular with an American sitcom 'Cheers' which ran for eleventh seasons and slowly gained the popularity of viewers.

The show was based on a local bar named “Cheers’ where locals meet, drink and chat. In this show, Ted got to play the lead role and he was offered the role of Owner, Bartender. Ted also got to play a lead role in another American sitcom 'Becker' that was telecasted from 1998 to 2004 on CBS channel. He got his first break in a film named ‘The Onion Field’ which was a 1979 American crime drama film. Later, in the year 1993, he acted in a lead role in Warner Bros. production movie ‘Made in America’.

Simultaneously he was offered again a comedy role in the movie 'Three Men and a Little Lady' (1993), Cousins’ (1989), ‘'Three Men and a Baby' (1987) and 'Jerry and Tom' (1998) etc. In addition, he got some credible characters in movies like ‘'Getting Even With Dad' (1994), ‘Dad’ (1989), 'Loch Ness' (1996) etc, which had terrific acting from Ted Danson. In the year 1994 Danson was also one of the 3 executive producers of the film 'Pontiac Moon', along with Jeffrey D. Brown (co-writer) and Robert Benedetti and Ted Danson acted in the movie in the lead role. It was again in the year 2014, he got a convincing role in the movie ’The One I Love' where he acted along with stars Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss.

He also has acted in numerous TV movies such as 'Something About Amelia' (1984) and won his first Golden Globe Awards. He was nominated for a ‘Screen Actors Guild Award‘ for extraordinary work as a chess school teacher for a TV film named ‘'Knights of the South Bronx" (2005) television film. He was also recognized as the typical Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 1999. In his personal life, Ted was married to actresses such as Randall "Randy" Gosch in 1970 and got divorced in 1975.

Again he married in 1977 producer Cassandra "Casey" Coates and Danson had his first daughter Kate out of this marriage. Although he was a caring husband for Cassandra yet Danson started having an affair with actress Whoopi Goldberg which led to the split in this marriage. It is said this divorce was one of the costliest affairs in Hollywood. Later, Ted Danson fell in love with actress Mary Steenburgen on the sets of his movie ‘Pontiac Moon’ in i993 and married her in 1995. The actor was born on December 29, 1947, in California.
