Alexandra Neldel

Alexandra Neldel, born on 11 February 1976 in West Berlin (Germany) is a 39-year-old actress with a troubled childhood. Her father hunted for a living, and her parents parted their ways when she was quite young. Instead of choosing which one to go with, she chose to live on her own at the age of 16.

After graduating from secondary school, she began working as an assistant at a dentist’s office and as a hostess on the side. She never even thought of pursuing a career as an actor, but God had other plans. In 1992, at a polo match, Alexandra was spotted by the director of a casting agency who offered her the lead role in a daily soap titled ‘Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten’.

However, after seven years, she quit the show, but some offers poured in for her. Within ten years of starting a career as an actress, Alexandra has worked in 14 movies, 21 tele films, and seven television series. Alexandra has been very well acknowledged for her performance in the award-winning series ‘Verliebt in Berlin’, an adaptation of ‘Yo soy Betty, la Fea’ – a Columbian tv series.

This series alone won her the German Television Award and the Golden Rose Award as well. This role came to her in 2005 and climbed the ladder of success shortly to become the most popular German series ever. She has bagged the Bravo Otto in Silver for two years consecutively (1997 and 1998) and for the third time in 2005.

She has also been a part of the tv series titled ‘Berlin, Berlin’ which has even won an Emmy. Last but not the least, one of her most prominent achievements is being titled the Woman of the Year by Maxim, a New York-based men’s magazine in 2005. Belonging to an unfortunate family situation and growing up on her own, Alexandra maintains blameless relations with both, her mother and father.

She prefers not to share much about her private life and keeps it private after all. She has a good mass of female fan following and a huge fan base in France as well after the telecasting of ‘Verliebt in Berlin’ there.
