Bonnie Wright aka Ginny in the world famous Happy Potter movies is known for being the love interest of Harry Potter. She is one of thirteen characters to have appeared in all the franchise of Harry Potter films. Born on 17th February 1991 in London, Bonnie comes from a family of Jewelry makers “Wright & Teague”. Growing up with her family in London, her parents Gary Wright, and Shiela Teague and a brother Lewis, always supported her in everything she wanted to do. She has learned Ballet and other forms of dance like modern and African. She began her formal education at Prior Weston Primary School and King Alfred School in North London. She is also a singer and plays Piano and ardent lover of art. She has Bachelors in Art as well. She has studied at London’s prestigious London’s “University of the Arts: London College of Communication”, majoring in Film and Television Production. As talented an actress she is, she says she is equally interested in what goes behind the camera and wishes to turn to direction and production in her further years.

Bonnie’s role for first Harry Potter movie was possible because of her brother who pushed her to take the audition as she recalls him saying that the role of Ginny reminded him of Bonnie. There was no looking back for Bonnie. Even though her roles in the earlier Harry potter films did not have much screen presence for Bonnie, she stuck to the franchise nonetheless for she fell in love with the character. Bonnie’s first appearance in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as Ginny Weasley was a short-lived one. It was the acquaintance of the two characters which ends up in a marriage with kids in the last sequence. But her role in the second Chamber of Secrets sequel had a significant role, where Ginny finds a secret diary, and it alters her actions finally to control her. She is also the character who comes in contact with Tom Riddle, Harry’s rival in the movie.

Ginny’s role in “Harry Porter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” sequel has little dialogues and her screen space in Goblet of Fire sequel is not abundant either. She is mostly seen in the background, hanging with ‘ Emma Watson She’s the first girl character to be reckoned with >> Read More... ’ (Hermione). Bonnie’s character gains momentum in the sequel “Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix” and she becomes a part of Dumble Dore's Army and is also seen in fighting sequence.  She is no more the shy and silent character; instead, she is seen maturing over time. This is one of the reasons Bonnie loves playing Ginny as she becomes a matured person through the sequels, she confesses. Starting as a girl who had a crush on Harry and growing to become a strong character who fights the Death ‘Lord Voldemort’ is an exponential transformation. Continuing her warrior kind of role in the next “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” she is also seen romancing Harry.

The last sequels Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that is, Part 1 and Part 2 (split into two) have Ginny in the main role along with Ron and Harmonie. Ultimately, Ginny is seen as Harry’s wife in the last film and says Goodbye to her relationship with Harry Potter movies.Bonnie, during interviews, confesses that it was a whole new experience for her working with the big franchise. She says she was totally unprepared for the role, and she got all the experience she needed for her to develop an interest in acting and also to take up media production in her study. She is not just an actress but also known as a model. She is famous for her red carpet choices and is said to have modeled for few Brit brands. She has also walked the ramp for Brit designers in London and making an appearance on the Ramp in 2011 was noticeable.

Bonnie has frequently been listed in “Top 30 under 30 list” in the portrait magazine, always coming close to Emma Watson. Bonnie was seen in television movies like “ Stranded Click to look into! >> Read More... ” in 2002 and “Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures”, where she is seen playing younger Agatha in the film. Her acting skills in Peter Ustinov’s play “The Moment of Truth” bestowed her with many appreciations and accolades.

In 2014, she was cast in the movie “After the Dark”, along with ‘Rhys Wakefield’ and ‘James D'Arcy’. In the movie, she got to work with her Harry Potter star ‘Freddie Stroma’ as well.
