Catherine Tate was born in 1968 May 12. Her birthplace is Bloomsbury, London. She is an English writer, comedian, and actress. She was born as Catherine Ford and later changed it to Catherine Tate. Catherine’s father left her early. She got brought up by her grandmother, mother, and godparents. Her mother was a florist. Catherine got affected by the obsessive-compulsive disorder. It a disorder in which a person has repeated thoughts and behaviour. 

Catherine went to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School in Macklin Street. She also attended Notre Dame High School. She wanted to follow her profession in acting career ever since her teenage. She succeeded in her fourth attempt to get into Central School of Speech and Drama. Before joining there, she went to Sylvia Young Theatre School. She began her acting career through television serial dramas. She started off with London’s Burning and The Bill. In 1996 she started a stand-up comedy. She then appeared in Barking, The Peter Kay Thing, and The Harry Hill Show. She then starred in Wild West. She performed at the National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company. 

She acted in A Servant To Two Master as Smeraldina. She played at the National Theatre in The Way Of The World. In 2004 she co-wrote and appeared in her own program The Catherine Tate Show on BBC Two. It ran for three seasons. In 2005 November, she appeared in Children In Need. She won the Best British Comedy Actress Award from British Comedy Awards. In 2005 she appeared in Bleak House in BBC. She appeared in Some Girls(s). In 2006 The third season The Catherine Tate Show won the National Television Award.

Tate appeared as Donna Noble in Doctor Who. She appeared in the films Sixty Six, Starter for 10, Scenes of a Sexual Nature. She also appeared in Mrs Ratcliffe’s Revolution and Love And Other Disasters. She played the lead role in The Bad Mother’s Handbook in 2007. She became a Supporter of TheatreTrain, a performing arts group. She got nominated for four BAFTA for The Catherine Tate Show. Tate appeared in Gulliver’s Travel as Queen Isabelle of Lilliput. She toured around the British Theatres in 2016 for The Catherine Tate Show Live. Catherine’s earlier partner was Twig Clark. She delivered her daughter after an emergency caesarian. Tate also speaks French. She got affected by Post-natal depression. Tate also aches from panic attacks.
