Dagmara Dominczyk

Dagmara Dominczyk is a Poland-based English actress who has enamored Hollywood with her passionate acting skills. An emigrant from Poland this pretty actress has made a prominent mark in the industry. Her contribution to movies and plays has been commendable. With brilliant acting skills, the gorgeous actress possesses writing skills too. She is a newbie author in town. She is married to Patrick Wilson and has two sons. Kalin Patrick Wilson is the elder one and Kassian McCarrell the younger.

Dagmara Dominczyk was born in Kielce Poland to Miroslaw and Aleksandra Dominczyk. She is the eldest among sister Marika and Veronica. She along with her family moved to Brooklyn in 1983. Her father’s association with the solidarity movement proved awful, and this incidence made a deep impact on Dagmara. Since childhood, she had seen the distress of her parents. She studied at a school in Manhattan named Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and then majored in Drama. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburg. She met senior Patrick here for the first time however the meeting was short lived. Sincere as student Dagmara was always into skits and reading. She made reading a hobby.

In 1999, she got an opportunity to audition at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. It was due to a friend’s recommendation that she received that golden chance. She was shortlisted and performed for the Broadway's titled ‘Closer’ as Alice Ayres. The theater gave her a recognition which fetched a role at the big screen. She played Claire in the 2000 movie ‘Keeping the faith.’ She also started featuring on television. Her debut show was ‘Third Watch’ where she worked for two episodes as Jeneca Farabee. She gained stardom with her film ‘Rock Star’ in 2001. She portrayed the character of Tania Asher in this musical film. ‘The Counte Monte Cristo’ starring Dagmara as Mercedes Mondego was an adventurous film based on a novel. Soon she was climbing the ladder to success.

However, she did not give up the theater. In 2003 she enacted Caroline Bramble in ‘Enchanted April’ and Rosamund Plinth in ‘The Violet Hour.’ Broadway seemed close to her. Her notable films during these times were ‘They’, ‘Kinsey’ and ‘Trust The Man.’ Her sister, Veronika Dominczyk is also a renowned actress in the industry with many television shows to her credit. Dagmara again met married Patrick in 2004. He is also an eminent celebrity in Hollywood known for his blockbuster movies and singing. In 2006 Dagmara received Method Fest in Best Supporting Actress Award for her role Julia Wilder in ‘Mentor.’ Post her delivery she featured in small figures in movies such as ‘Lonely Hearts,’ ‘Running with Scissors’ and ‘Helene’ from the ‘Wedding’.

In 2011, she essayed Annika in ‘Higher Grounds.’ She gave two super hits in 2013 – ‘ Phantom Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘The Immigrant.’ The immigrant has over dozens of accolades to its credit. Some of her recent movies are ‘Jack Strong’, ‘Big Stone Gap, ‘Let’s Kill Ward’s Life.’ She plays Nadia in 2016 ‘A Woman, A Part. Dominczyk never gave up on television and theater. She returned to theater with a play ‘Golden Boy’ in 2012. She has been a part of famous TV series ‘Law & Order’. She is known for her contributions in series such as ’24,’ ‘The Good Wife,’ ‘Suits,’ and ‘Person of interest.’ She appeared in the widely acclaimed show ‘Boardwalk Empire’ as Dinah in the episode ‘Devil You Know.’

In 2013, she released her novel ‘The Lullaby of Polish Girls.’ The book reflects her life in instances. Her attachment to her hometown is very well evident. She launched it at the ‘WORD’ bookstore where she used to be a regular customer in her teenage. She is a perfect blend of America and Poland. Her recent project includes a distinct play with novelty – ‘Night in a room.’
