Elizabeth Montgomery, whose full name was Elizabeth Victoria Montgomery, was an actress from America who has enthralled the audience through all forms of visual medium. She was born in Los Angeles, California, U.S., on April 15, 1933. Both her parents, Elizabeth Daniel Bryan and Robert Montgomery, were famous and working in the same profession. Besides them, her family consisted of a sister named Martha Bryan Montgomery, who died in her infant days, and a brother Robert Montgomery Jr. Martha-Bryan Allen was her maternal aunt. Westlake School for Girls, Spence School, and American Academy of Dramatic Arts are her alma maters. Elizabeth's father launched her in his show Robert Montgomery Presents. In 1953, she made her debut on Broadway with Late Love.

Two years later, Elizabeth appeared on the big screen for the first time with The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell. After The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell, she has been an integral part of several films, plays, and TV shows like Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed?, Batman: The Animated Series, How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, The Loud Red Patrick, Deadline for Murder: From the Files of Edna Buchanan, and others. Of all her roles, the audience still recalls her performance as Samantha Stephens in Bewitched. The jury of Emmy Award had nominated her for nearly ten times, but she couldn't manage to clinch it. Elizabeth has narrated the documentaries named Cover Up: Behind the Iran Contra Affairs and The Panama Deception. Both of them were exposing and critical of her country's policies.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth married four times and had several romantic relationships. She is the mother of William Asher, Jr., Rebecca Asher, and Robert Asher. Elizabeth was a liberal woman and voiced her opinions supporting the LGBTQ community freely. She also tried to spread awareness about AIDS. In 1992, she, along with her friend Dick Sargent, was Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade's Grand Marshals. Elizabeth was also a philanthropist. On May 18, 1995, she took her last breath after a long battle with colon cancer. Elizabeth's family held a memorial service at the Canon Theatre, Beverly Hills in her honor. In the same year, Lucy Award posthumously enthroned upon her the distinction of Women in Film Crystal considering her contribution to the world of cinema in her forty long years.
