Emily VanCamp

The full name of Emily Van Camp is Emily Irene Van Camp. She was born on May 12, 1986, in Port Perry located in Ontario, Canada. She is an actress by profession. She started her career in the year 1999. Her mother’s name was Cindy, and her father’s name was Robert Van Camp. She was their third child out of four, and all four of them were girls. Her father works as an animal nutritionist, and she initially used to work with her father, and helped him delivering food for his clients all over the city.

She can speak two languages; English and French as she grew up in a household where both the languages were spoken fluently. Earlier she wanted to become a professional dancer, and she started learning to dance at the age of three. When she was 11 years old, she convinced her parents to give her the permission to attend the Montreal’s summer training program, and when she was just 12 years old, she joined the “Ecole Superieure de Ballet du Quebec,” which was the training program for “Les Grands Ballets Canadians.”

She has three sisters; two being elder, named Katie and Alison, and one being younger, named Molly. Katie was initially a professional dancer and then she changed her profession and became a Children’s book writer. She has learned many kinds of dance forms like jazz, hip hop, ballet, and tap, which have helped her a lot in shooting difficult scenes for various movies. She always says that, if not acting, she would have done something in the field of dancing or cooking.

She is in a relationship with Josh Bowman, who was her co-star in the movie Revenge, since the year 2011. She started taking interest in acting in the year 1998, when she once visited her sister Katie on the sets of the movie “Ladies room.” After which she started taking acting classes and contacted an agent for roles. In the beginning, she used to do commercials, and after some time, she was cast for the season 7 of “Are You Afraid of Dark?”, which was a horror television series.

She got her big break with the television series “Glory Days,” which was a horror mystery, which got mixed reviews from the critics and the viewers. She got very famous just at the age of 15. In the year 2010, she won two awards; Best Ensemble Cast at Breckenridge Festival of Film and Best Actress at San Diego Film Festival.
