Billy Corgan is a musician, producer, songwriter, and a TV writer from America.

He was born on the 17th of March, 1967. His father was a rock guitarist, which must have been an inspiration to Billy to go into the same field. Later in his musical career, he named his music label, Martha’s Music, after his mom who he was really close to. He got interested in learning how to play the guitar when he was young and was encouraged to do so by his father. He also recommended listening to famous guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. He got the opportunity to play with Wayne Static in the music band, Deep Blue Dream. Before this, he had initially moved to Florida to play, but came back when his band didn’t work well. On returning to Chicago, he formed the band, The Smashing Pumpkins. The members were Billy, James Iha, D’arcy Wretzky and Jimmy Chamberlin. This project of his turned out very well and they started giving hits after hits. Billy Corgan achieved the peak in his career with the song ‘1979’. In 2000, The Smashing Pumpkins broke up.

He formed another band named ‘Zwan’, along with Jimmy Chamberlin, Matt Sweeney, David Pajo and Paz Lenchantin. Mary Star of the Sea, was its first album. The band shattered in 2003. A year later, he published a book of poetry titled Blinking with Fists, which made its way up to the New York Times Bestseller List. He then made an album on his own, which was named The Future Embrace.

In 2005, he announced that he wished to bring back together the band, The Smashing Pumpkins. Jimmy Chamberlin agreed, and Ginger Pooley and Jeff Schroeder were added as new members replacing older ones. The first album that the band made after a gap of seven years was ‘Zeitgeist’. It also made hit albums like American Gothic, G.L.O.W. and Superchrist. He formed the group called Spirits in the Sky, as a tribute to rock and roll musician, Sky Saxon.

He created Resistance Pro, an organization promoting wrestling, in 2011. He released the songs, which he had already made in 2007, in May 2016 this year. He gave them the title AEGEA. The Smashing Pumpkins released an album called Monuments to an Elegy, in 2014, becoming the tenth album they have made. He was made a senior producer in the category, Creative and Talent Development of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
