Gary Moore

Robert William Gary Moore was an Ireland-based Musician, singer, and songwriter. He has performed in different music including blues, blues rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and Jazz fusion. He was born on 4 April 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He started his music career because his father when invited him on the stage to sing Sugartime when he was just six years old. He was heavily influenced by Peter Green and Eric Clapton. He started his career in the late 1960s when he joined Skid Row and he released two albums with them. After that, he joined Thin Lizzy. His solo career began in the 1970s and he gain his success and fame through Parisienne Walkways which he released in 1978. This was his signature song.

In 1990 he released his most successful album titled Still Got the Blues. Moore released his album Grinding Stone in 1973 which was credited to The Gary Moore Band. His second solo album was Corridors of Power which he released in 1982. This was his first solo release to enter into Billboard 200 chart. Some of his other solo releases which gave him fame were Back on the streets in 1978, Dirty fingers in 1983, Victims of the future in 1983, Run for cover in 1985, Wild Frontier in 1987, After the war in 1989, and Still got the blues in 1990, After hours in 1992, Blues for Greeny in 1995, Dark days in Paradise in 1997, A different beat in 1999, Back to the blues in 2001, Power of the blues in 2004, Old New Ballads Blues in 2006, Close as you Get in 2007, and Bad for you Baby in 2008. He died on 6 February 2011 due to a heart attack in Estepona. He was considered one of the best guitarists of all time.
