Eric Ellenbogen is an American producer. He is the co-founder of Classic Media and the CEO of Marvel Enterprises. He was born on 9 March 1957 in Los Angeles, California, US. Eric is a graduate of Harvard University (1978) and then went to the UCLA Anderson School of Management. In 1987, he worked as the head of Broadway Video. Eric has also served as the president of Golden Books Family Entertainment in 1996.
Launching Classic Media with John Engelman in 2000 was a big step by Eric. But both of them left the company in 2007 after it was sold to Entertainment Rights. After a year, they reunited to form the Boomerang Media, and later, Boomerang Media took over the control of Entertainment Rights, which brought Classic Media back under Eric’s control. Dream Works Animation acquired Classic Media in 2012 and was renamed Dream Works Classics. When NBC Universal obtained Dream Works Classics, the company was renamed back as Classic Media. In 2018, Ellenbogen also served as the board of directors for Wild Brain.
