Jack Rollins born on March 23rd, 1915, was a producer and also a lyrics writer in the American film industry. He was born in Brooklyn. After his graduation, he worked for two years in an orphanage, and then he was directed to the United States to join the Army. He worked as the communication decoder during the war in India. Melvyn Douglas, an actor, was one of his commanding officers. They became very close friends over the period. After the war had ended, Douglas helped him in building the contacts he needed to start his career as a director. Jack worked as the producer of Broadway for almost about a decade. But this turned out to be unfruitful.

In 1951, he established Midtown Manhattan, which was a talent agency. He gradually gave up directing Midtown Manhattan. He worked with Harry Belafonte and Charles H. Joffe. They together designed the career of many artists and comedians too. It got broadcasted on various television networks like ABC daytime, TCM, CNBC, ABC late night, ABC prime time, USA Network, and PBS.

The notable moments of the show included The Premiere of This Morning, Robert F Kennedy Assassination, One-man Show by Groucho Mars, The Woodstock Show, Jimmy Hendrix, Judy Collins, Robert Mitchum interview, John Simon vs. Mort Sahl, Rodale’s Onstage Death, Vietnam War Debate with John Kerry, Norman Mailer vs. Gore Vidal, Oscar Peterson, and Carol Burnett interview. Five DVDs have also released that feature the episodes of this show.

Jack died in June 2015, just three months after his 100th birthday in March.
