Stephen Worth is a renowned American animator, film and TV producer. He was born on May 2, 1959, in Glendale, California. He completed Bachelor of Arts in Design at the University of California in 1982 and started his career as a Production Assistant at FilmFair Studios, a production house, and animation studio. Worth studied the techniques in classic animations, together with Lew Stude, and established the Vintage Ink & Paint, a restoration facility for animation arts at Burbank, California.

Later, he worked as a Production Assistant at Bagdasarian Productions, the banner who is responsible for the animated series, Alvin and the Chipmunks. Initially, he was given the task to organize, promote, and advertise artwork from the animated fantasy comedy film, The Chipmunk Adventure. He was promoted to Associate Producer after nine months and has worked in recordings, TV series, and primetime television specials.

In the early 90s, Ralph Bakshi, a film director, offered him to work as Animation Production Manager for the action-animated fantasy film, Cool World. He met John Kricfalusi, a Canadian animator, through the Internet and the two became friends. He introduced the World Wide Web (WWW) to Kricfalusi and encouraged him to become involved in this new medium.

They worked along in the making of the first Adobe Flash animated web cartoons, The Goddamn George Liquor Program and also in Weekend Pussy Hunt and Björk’s music video for her 1995 single, I Miss You. For ten years, he consistently worked in Spumco as a Producer for web cartoons, commercials, TV series, and Cartoon Network’s primetime specials entitled Boo Boo Runs Wild. Worth voiced Yogi Bear’s character in this program.

After completing the adult animated TV series, Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon, Spumco officially shut down their production and he started working on making a museum and archive of the art of animation. In the span of 19 years, Worth has also served the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization called ASIFA-Hollywood. At present, he is running an online and physical museum called Animal He bagged the June Foray Annie Award in 2007 for his remarkable impact on the art of animation.
