Dolly Parton is a famous Multi-talented American Actress. She is a winner of Eight Grammy Awards, with 46 Grammy Award nominations. As a Composer, she has worked on 3000 songs, which is a huge number. She had her first recognised work established in 1967 “Dumb Blonde” and “Something fishy”, a combine released as a full-length album namely “Hello, I am Dolly” which made a good ranking in the country’s chart.

She travelled from 1960 to 1970s as a part of Porter Wagoner’s team, who was also a famous American singer. Dolly made her acting venture through television series “Dolly!” which run through 1976 -77 and got good ratings. In 1980, she played a secretary role in the movie “9 to 5”.She has also given her voice work for the animation series “Alvin and Chipmunks”. She got ranked as the country’s wealthiest music star in 1998.

She invested most of her earnings in Pigeon Forge which is family vacation hub cum resort area, by which she got herself into multiple business. She also ran a company namely “The Dollywood Company” which had many sub-groups. Dollywood Theme Park was one among them which was ranked 24 in position in United States of America.

Dolly has supported many people through her Dollywood Foundation for education and literacy. Her Team supplies nearly 10 million free books per annum to children who are in need.

She has given her support to American Red Cross and HIV-AIDS movements. She was married to Carl Thomas Dean, retired person from a road paving business. She received an award from American Association of Publishers in 2000 for her work on literacy. She was honoured with National Medal of Arts in 2005 by the U.S. President.
