Born on 28th October 1991 in Delhi to Dimpi Malhotra and Rajiv Malhotra, Kanisha currently resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has completed her schooling and graduation from Delhi itself and then began pursuing modeling as her career. Moving on to the direction in 2016, she assisted the well-known director Ram Gopal Verma in directing the film, Veerappan. Apart from all these Kanisha’s two short films lucid dreams and jhumke which she has written and directed by herself beside acting in it have been selected to be screened at 4th goa short film festival. The lucid dream is a thriller which revolves around a psychiatrist and police investigating around him about a murder mystery. Jhumke is based on love between a grandmother and her granddaughter. Lucid dreams were her first film where she did the direction solely. This picture was also selected at Dada Sahib Phalke film festival. Presently Kanisha is acting in an indo Dutch movie which is due to release in 2018. Directed by Nishant K Ranjan, it is a serious picture based on the life of two sisters, one of who is a rape victim. She is also seen in a love story eternity.
