Pranalal Kharasani is an Indian actor prominent in the grounds of arts, film, stage, radio, and TV. He was born on 19 June 1926 in Gujarat. He was active in films from 1958 till 2008 and contributed 60 years in theatre. Kharasani was an artist and professionalist who has written, directed, and produced several plays. He has acted in several Gujarati films, serials, and Plays. He has received several awards for his plays, films, and acting. It was an honor to receive the Best Actor Award for three consecutive years from 1955 to 1957, Gaurav Puraskar in 1989, Pandit Omkarnath Thakur Award in 1996, the award from the Gujarat Film Development Corporation in 1997, a public felicitation by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in 2013, the Natraj Award in April 2016.

His notable plays are Patta ni Jod, Malela Jeev, Parnya Chhata Kunvara, Aram Rajya, Chitthi, and Pdada Pachhal. Films of his that got recognized on a large scale were Kalapi, Madi Jaya nu Mameru, Nari Tu Narayani, Lakho Fulani, and Goral Garasani. He is a stage artist who contributed to a great extent to Plays, films, and Stage performances with his comic and other roles. He died on 20 May 2016.
